In the summer of 2001 when I was pregnant with my oldest son, I was put on bedrest for high blood pressure. I was introduced to the internet as something to occupy my time since I wouldn't be doing much else, this is when my love of creating websites began. I started out making a personal homepage and gradually over time I learned more and more, my websites were improving, and I was meeting lots of great new people through them.

I started chatting on some MSN Groups and became infatuated with the animated graphic signatures that everyone was using. I started researching how to make them and in 2002 got myself a copy of Paint Shop Pro 7, which I still use in my graphic and web design! I began trying out tutorials, and got my best friend hooked as well (she has since started her own wonderful website and makes amazing little pixel drawings!). We both spent so much time experimenting with PSP7 that we were figuring lots of things out on our own and started our own MSN group where we posted tutorials and taught other people how to create things with PSP7.

Over the years our styles have individualized and we have each gone our own separate ways in design, I put it on the back burner for a little bit due to some things in my personal life, but my love of it was brought back to life when I rediscovered my love and talent for photography. I figured why not combine my 2 interests and create a website where I can create things for other people! Hence, in October of 2007, Marsh River Designs was born. Named after the river that flows near my home, it is also a favorite subject of my photography!
